Luckily he was able to finally have the work done two weeks ago, with a £38 surcharge for PPE, representing startling evidence of pure cost-push inflation being passed directly onto the consumer. We suspect many people are underestimating the inflation that is coming down the tracks. We ask whether the price rises will be short-lived, or if we could be in for a period of sustained stagflation which we last saw in the 1970s.
