In this article we look back at the financial crisis of 2008–9 and what happened to property funds then. We did this to ask what lessons we can learn, and how events then can inform our view of property funds and discounts today. What we found is that history really isn’t repeating itself, and that perhaps an overreliance on history has stopped us from seeing what’s right in front of us.
