At the time of writing, the average discount for the UK Smaller Companies sector is 11.4%, after a year in which risk aversion ruled and investors prepared for a recession. While there is still plenty of uncertainty around the immediate future, a peak in inflation may be in the rear-view mirror and a peak in interest rates may be on the horizon. Additionally, UK small caps have been a great place to invest over the long term.
