Ciaran Mallon has twenty five years’ experience in financial services, of which fifteen have been spent with Invesco at its Henley-on-Thames campus. Ciaran has managed Invesco Income Growth Trust plc (IVI) since he joined the firm in 2005. He has sole responsibility for the trust, although he shares the UK equities desk with a number of other experienced fund managers, with whom he exchanges ideas and collaborates on company meetings.
Ciaran holds an MA in Chemistry from Oxford University and his measured, analytical investment process reflects that background. Aiming to generate capital growth and a steady income that will grow above the rate of inflation, his approach seeks to eliminate macro-risk as much as possible, and identify high quality companies which are relatively resilient to fluctuations in the economy, have low leverage and a strong balance sheet.
This disciplined, rigorous approach has long served shareholders seeking a stable income; IVI also holds the Association of Investment Companies’ coveted ‘dividend hero’ badge, having delivered a growing dividend for more than two decades.
In addition to IVI, Ciaran is co-manager on a number of open-ended income focused mandates under the Invesco banner, leaving him with shared responsibility for assets under management of around £10bn.
