The company recently released interim results, which showed NAV total return of 8.1% over the six months to 31st July 2018, a continuation of the excellent long-term track record the team have of outperforming the FTSE All-Share, which rose 5% over the same period.
Over the past five years, the trust has delivered total returns of 66.8% compared to the FTSE All-Share return of 44.9%. Indeed, according to the company – if an investor had invested in the NAV or share price at the year end, or interim date in the last twenty years and held to 31st July 2018, the investment would have outperformed the FTSE All-Share every time.
